DESCRIPTION
A framed original. Punch of the London charivari January 13th 1937................................ The cartoon entitled "Kangaroo-Tail Soup - Chef Bradman "I've been in it twice myself, dear boys, and I know" The pot shows Third Test…this was a reference to this famous series, Bradman's first as captain.......................Australia had been beaten convincingly in the first 2 tests and bounded back in the third willing by 365 runs. Bradman scoring 270 in the second innings. his previous 5 innings had been a poor; 38, 0, 0, 82 and 13...(an ave of just 26.6) Bradman of course went on to score 16, 212 and 169 in the Fourth and Fifth tests to finish with a series average of 90! The cartoon has been framed with an original Bradman autograph from early 1990s. Set in an antique frame.................................
