DESCRIPTION
Whistle up a Storm, by Kevin Crowe, is the distinguished international referee’s controversial memoir. It covers the history of Queensland rugby from Kevin’s time as a player in Queensland from the 1940s, and his career as a referee and rugby administrator.
He played 110 first grade games for New Farm and represented Queensland, Australia XV and Brisbane.
Kevin played against the 1951 All Blacks representing Brisbane. His refereeing "highlight" was the 1968 All Black match where he awarded a last minute penalty try which saw them sneek home 19 - 18.
Kevin also a WWII veteran recounts his wartime experiences, including a visit to Hiroshima shortly after it was bombed.
