World Heavyweight Boxing Championship programme. Burns v Squires. 24th August 1908 at Sydney Stadium. The stadium was built for this fight!
A rare example of this first fight which is often overshowed by the Burns - Johnson fight of 16/12/1908 at the same venue.
This booklet is in poor condition having been covered in brown paper. 5 pages have been scribbed on in red biro.
Nevertheless a rare example of a historic programme. 62 pages features history of boxing in Australia..features pen pics and record of previous world champions and local champions...Griffo, Sid Sullivan , Frank Thorn and others...
