Framed Great Britain 1962 jersey. Neil Fox, MBE is a legendary British player. He played 762 1st Grade Games in England!, 17 times for Yorkshire, once for England and represented Great Britain 29 times from 1959-1969. He was one of the players who opened the UK RL Museum. The 1962 Lions are regarded as one of the greatest Lions teams to tour Australia. They won the 3 Test series 2-1, with a last minute field goal securing an 18-17 win for Australia in the Third Test. The played 18 other games in Australia, including the famous match against club side St George, winning all bar 2 games. They played another 9 games in new Zealand.
The St George game played mid-week at the SCG attracted a crowd of 57,895 - The Lions who forced the Dragons out of the red V and into a red & white hooped jersey won 33 - 5. Fox's points scoring ability is described as record-breaking. I'd suggest the 5,541 points in first grade is extraordinary!
These items for sale are surplus to the Easts group requirements and are being offered for sale to Roosters members and collectors of Rugby League history. This is a one off opportunity to procure some very rare items of league memorabilia.
