New Zealand photo 1946 - damaged Unframed but signed - Australian Team - New Zealand 1946.
Signed by the full squad of 13. Signed by Tallon, Miller, O'Reilly, Toshack, Dooland, Hamence, Johnson, McCool, Hassett, Brown, Barnes, Meulman and Lindwall. Plus Manager E C Yoemans. This was a record win for Australia (played on a wet wicket) which ultimately meant a further Test against New Zealand did not occur for nearly 30 years.
Australia won by an innings and 103 within 2 days - 29th and 30th March 1946. This was the final Test match for Bill O'Reilly 5-14 and 3 -19, and the first and only Test for Ken Meuleman, who was out for a duck (out of a modest 199).
Colin McCool scored 7, did not bowl in the first innings (not surpriseingly as Lindwall, Toshack and O'Reilly bowled them out in 38 overs)and took 1 for 0 from 2 balls in the second innings to finish the match. -
